I went swimming this morning for 30 minutes.  I swim better with fins, but who doesn't.  I need to learn to swim without fins again.

Swimming with fins builds leg strength, but use the fins for leg/kicking drills only.

It was okay to run today. When you get into higher mileage and more running days, just skip that run workout if you have to miss. Your on low mileage so no harm done!! :)

I should of broke in my new running shoes before running this morning...  that's ok my feet stop hurting after the mile 3.   Its like a new pair underware. At first its constrictive, but then it becomes a part of you!!!

Nice run week... If you have a way to monitor heart rate, work on keeping your HR under 140 during your runs. We will start implementing speed work next month.

By the way, do you think you might be up for a half marathon race towards the end on january?

Don't wear cotton!! Don't use cotton anything... even socks. And sometimes I have to apply some vasiline on the nipples. The heavy sweating will just cause the clothes to rub wrong.

Running at 5000 ft is a little harder then 3000 ft.  Plus I don't recommend running in 20 degree weather with the wind blowing.  Thats what I get for running up in New Harmony.  And no more bleeding nipples.

The weight starts to come off... sometimes it's the way we eat that makes the weight come off faster or slower, and teaching our bodies how to burn fat during a workout. Eating at the right time around workouts makes a big difference.

Had a nice run with my Big braddah and his wife Cathy. And Brittney Too... It was the longest run I ever been on and I feel pretty good. It's always better when you can run with some one. Thanks

I sped up my pace today, maybe because of my run with Cathy & Britnee last Friday.  I think I was running at 9:30 pace, but I won't know for sure until Wed. when I get my new GPS Watch.  Thanks Ben and Cathy for guiding my wife in the right direction in which watch to buy.

What a great day to run, not too cold and not too hot.  First time I ever ran 11 miles on my own.  I believe my time was 1hr 52 mins with only two stops.  I don't know if that is any good for my first time.  Plus my route had a 1000 ft of elevation change.  500 down and 500 up.  I still feel pretty good.

How's the running? Are you still thinking about running the st george half marathon this month? I have a friend that the 1:50 pacer. She's a lot of fun. Cathy may run that pace, or maybe you can get me to slow down to run with you. :)
